Dear America,

In the past year or two, we have been through tough economic times. In one way or another, we have all been affected by the global recession. We have seen massive job losses, too many foreclosures, government bailouts gone awry (to say the least) and big businesses close their doors for good. Imagine what this crisis has done to small businesses all over the country.

I am not talking about the businesses that get OUR tax money, in "bailout" form, and spending it on bonuses for their executives. I am talking about our friends and neighbors who work countless hours, days, weeks, months, years just to have a glimmer of hope to keep their doors open and keep serving their community. These are the same people that make our communities what they are today; the everyday people who show us that with some hard work and determination, anyone can have a piece of The American Dream.

These are the businesses we all should be supporting; the American businesses, who hire American people and want to give back to our communities. They are not ultra-giant-superstores that hardly pay their employees and outsource anything they can. Supporting those businesses will NOT help our country. It will not help you, your family or future families.

By supporting small business, you are ensuring that The American Dream will be alive and well for future generations. By supporting small business, you are supporting your friends, families, neighbors and communities. By supporting small business, YOU ARE SUPPORTING AMERICA!
